TALI CHRISTMAS 2015

Bringing Hope To Children In Need

Fairy lights illuminate the night, ornaments surround the house as jewels on a person's face, the smell of pine runs through the house, accompanied by the warm smell of bûche de Noël; an overjoyed group of children runaround the house, excited to open their long-awaited gifts, knowing these were not the only gifts they would receive this month. They tear open the wrappers to reveal all sorts of toys, toys they had only seen on TV and were now holding in their hands. Think Christmas scene in Home Alone.

Some of us are fortunate enough to be those children every Christmas; joyous, excited, blessed. However, not all children are this lucky. In the West African country of Gabon, thousands of disadvantaged families can barely afford to feed, clothe, or provide education for their children, let alone buy them Christmas presents. Even worse,  some children do not even have parents. Their Grinch is not a green, furry villain, but rather the tragedy that is being an orphan. This is why Hope Against Hope partnered with the France -based TALI ASSOCIATION to make a difference in these children's lives, every Christmas.

Tali Association is a nonprofit with a similar mission to that of Hope Against Hope: giving back hope to children who have lost their parents.  Every Christmas they organize an event called L'Arbre De Noël (Christmas Tree) to give disadvantaged children the fairy lights and ornaments that most of us take for granted.

Hope Against Hope is proud to partner with  Tali for their Christmas toy drive.  No need to wait for next Christmas however,  you can lend your support year-round.  Start today by hosting your own toy drive at your school, workplace, or in your community. Then Contact us and we will help with the logistics to get the toys to children in need.
